Privacy Policy

Last updated 1 June 2026

Your health information is sensitive, and protecting it is core to how Health Hub is built. This policy explains what we collect, how we use and safeguard it, and the rights you have over your data.

1. Information we collect

Account details (name, phone number, email, region), the symptom and history information you share with the Healthcare Assistant, consultation records created by your clinicians, and — where relevant to a referral — travel and identity documents you choose to provide.

We also collect technical data such as device and connection information to keep the service secure and working across low-bandwidth networks.

2. How we use your information

To run your care: preparing intake summaries for clinicians, enabling teleconsultations, coordinating referrals and partner services, and processing payments. We do not sell your personal data.

We do not use your conversation transcripts to train AI models unless you have given explicit, separate consent.

3. Where your data lives — region-split residency

Data is stored in the region it originates from. African patient data stays in our Africa region and is never moved into the India region, and vice versa. Referral coordination shares only the specific information needed for your onward care, with your involvement.

4. How we protect it

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256). Clinical fields — allergies, conditions, medications, and notes — carry additional field-level encryption. Access to clinical records is logged in an append-only audit trail, and our clinical-safety checks (such as allergy and red-flag detection) are deterministic, not left to an AI model.

5. When we share information

With the clinicians and care coordinators involved in your care, with partners (pharmacy, diagnostics, travel) only as needed to deliver a service you've requested, and with payment processors to complete transactions. We may also share data where required by law.

6. Your rights

You can access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, and withdraw consent for optional uses, subject to legal and clinical record-keeping obligations. Contact us to exercise these rights.
